Upgrades and Returns
CHANGE to my policy: 9/12/12: IMPORTANT: Make a backup of your card when you get it. You will always be able to restore it. If you buy a card or download and want to switch to a different version within 30 days, I will only provide support for one version. Please don't take advantage of my generous policy and expect me to support two products when you only paid for one. Thank you for your understanding.
Folks, I get asked this quite a bit, so I am establishing an upgrade policy that I think you will all be very excited about. I believe if you check with my competitors, this is not how they do business (not good for you )Returns and Exchanges: As stated on my product-info page, you can return your AndroidForNook card (any product I sell actually) for a full refund within 14 days. Within 30 days, you can return your card for an exchange for another, same-sized card, with any version of Android you choose. Upgrades: Any time I have a newer version of the same operating system you purchased, you can get a free upgrade via two options: 1. You can mail the card back to me and I will reload it for you. You will be charged a minor fee ($3), to cover my cost for shipping supplies and mailing it back to you. 2. You can download the new image from our fileshare site for free. You will need a cardreader (adapter) that you can use to plug your microSD into your PC. NOTE: Free upgrades will be provided for not more than one year from the date of purchase. After that, $9.99 charge applies to download or return your card for image upgrade. Switching to a different version of Android: If you purchased CM7 (for example) and want to switch to Miui, you can do so for free within 30 days, using the same methods as the upgrade (see above). After 30 days, I will charge you $9.99 for either access to my download or you can mail the card back to me and I will reload it for you, for $12.99. I don't believe other Android card sellers offer an image download. Update 9/12/12: Other sellers have begun offering downloads of their images for twice the price as AFN! The advantage to this is you have a permanent backup of your Android card, which can come in handy if you mess something up and need to reload your card. I provide an easy to follow instruction document, a simple program you need to load the image onto your card, a snapshot of the program highlighting the buttons to click and the image itself, all on my share site. You can even make a backup of your current image using the same program, so you have it to go back to if you need to. So, there you have it. Another reason to choose AndroidForNook. I figure since Android is open source, you could figure out how to do this yourself anyway, and I am not going to take advantage of people who try and can’t figure it out. |
